Great opportunity for a Creative Artworker to join the studio team at Card Factory - a fast-paced and creative environment where you get to see your ideas come to life! The studio is friendly, fun and full of exciting challenges that will help you develop your skills. Our managers encourage teams to get out and see what’s happening in the wide world of retail, where they can find new ideas and inspiration. Development days/sessions are encouraged, so the team can learn from each other as well as new trends in the market.
This position is based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking. We tend to mix working from home with time in the studio as required. A typical week could see you being in for 2-3 days, other weeks you may work remotely all week if you wish, we just ask for flexibility.
Main Responsibilities- Creatively formatting artworks into commercial designs and style guides for use on greeting cards, 3D gifting, wrap and party products
- Creating customisable designs for use online
- Accurately preparing files ready for print
- Greeting card/3D gifting/wrap and party experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, esp. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Versatile design skillset
- Strong typesetting skills
- Knowledge of print limitations and experience of using finishes
- 3D technical knowledge for product and packaging templates and setup
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Plenty of enthusiasm for creativity and design
